See the Light

We’re posting this a week after Apple presented its new iPhone 17, which felt pretty much the same as the previous (and the previous, and the previous…), so it seems like a good time to dip into the world of minimal phones.

While everyone else (apart from probably Nothing) goes maximal with functions for everything, the Light Phone is going the other way.
It’s a product based on how little time users spend with it and it might just be the digital detox tool we know we really need.
With that simple but elegant that Dieter Rams/Braun feel it’s embracing the Less but Better ethose both in what it does but also in how it looks. It looks simple, it functions simply,

In a modern world that’s been designed around smartphones, with apps for everything and QR codes everywhere and life on endless scroll, it’s almost impossible to live without them. Unless it’s not.
Could you go Light?
