Fabrica is a makers platform bringing custom designed and commissioned objects to life. We do this through design thinking, immersion, adaptation and experimentation.

Who we are.

From humble beginnings to our workshops in Mussafah, we love to make and we love the process of making. We craft narratives through materials and form, and every product has a deep, rich story behind it. We mix local traditions and contemporary craft, hoping to share our unique perspective on this beautiful place we call home, Abu Dhabi. The raw smell of fresh cut wood, the subtle whisper of machines, and the feeling of sawdust on our fingertips – this is what it means to be part of Fabrica.

Our people

We care about our people, our clients, our suppliers and our community and we transmit that through every piece of work and all the magic in between. Our craft is brought to life by the stories, energy, passion, insights, ideas, expertise and lived experiences of each individual that walks through our door or crosses our path.

Our craft

A product is so much more than the finished object. For us, it is the sum of many meticulous steps, a collective of research, experimentations and crafted adventures that bring all parts together in a way that is elegant, understated and beautiful. Every object tells a story and shares our journey in creating it.

The land

Inspired by the beautiful and diverse ecosystem of the UAE, we are obsessive hunters of local materials, narratives and meaning. On any given day, you’ll find us gathering rock from a quarry in RAK, experimenting with new materials made from date palms, or getting lost in the depths of a local flora archive. This is our journey and the stuff that feeds our creativity.

Our mindset

We make with purpose and are passionate about locally sourced materials, sustainable design processes and circularity in it all. We always look to reduce our impact across the entire creation and production process and are constantly restless to discover, learn, experiment and understand more.
