From Latin Shoegaze to Nordic contemporary, Progressive deathcore to Dutch underground hip hop, it’s an algorithmically generated scatter plot of 2932 musical genres, sub genres and in-between genres as listed on Spotify.
According to the EveryNoise website the order is a little bit fuzzy but “down is more organic, up is more mechanical and electric; left is denser and more atmospheric, right is spikier and bouncier.”
And if you want to listen to all the genre samples, then there is a handy playlist on spotify, you’ll just need to free up 111 hours to listen to it.
