There’s a masterpiece everywhere
Getting ready to go behind the scenes of NatGeo’s iconic photography.

Entry
Iconic is a tricky word to give out, but surely National Geographic deserves that label.
Over one hundred and thirty years of exploration National Geographic has managed to maintain the perfect balance of consistency, geekiness and wonder. There’s a magic in the way they capture life that pulls you into the pages and the upcoming film Photographer will probably go a long way to unpacking that magic.
We’d definitely rather show the actual film, but this trailer is pretty damn good so let’s all just wait together for the full thing.
We also fell down a bit of a rabbit hole (as we do) while researching National Geographic’s design history and over the many, many web pages that study the evolution of the brand and the move to digital, this case study by GodfreyDadich on their subtle redesign of the magazine is worth some time.
